Founder Story

The story of Nitro's founders, Dylan Ryan, CEO, and Nick Petrovits, CTO, began more than three decades ago, two teenagers bonded by a shared interest in taking computers apart, figuring out what was broken, and rebuilding them better than before. They were never interested in workarounds. If something was broken, they wanted to know why. That shared passion turned into a strong partnership that spanned four companies, from consulting at Avanade, to enterprise-scale innovation at Nielsen, to building scrappy startups like mLevel and Nitro.

Time and again, no matter where they went, they saw the same pattern: companies sitting on mountains of rich, complex data, yet struggling to connect the dots and unlock its full value. They watched the industry respond with better monitoring tools, better quality checks, better dashboards, but the founders saw something deeper.

The problem isn't at the tool level; fragmented data is the real silent killer. Partial data will always produce partial results and lead to weaker decisions. Real AI success starts with rebuilding the data foundation from the ground up. Data must be harmonized into a single source of truth and enriched with the business context AI needs to deliver consistent, complete, and actionable insights.

With that realization, Nitro was born, and with it, a mission to eliminate the data bottleneck standing between organizations and better decisions.
